Hiking the Uluguru Mountains

Hiking the Uluguru Mountains

When I first thought of going to East Africa, I was unsure of what to expect. Perhaps some exotic animals or some delicious tropical fruit. What I did not expect was the beauty of the Uluguru Mountains in Morogoro, Tanzania.

The Uluguru Mountains are a seriously underrated part of East Africa, in my opinion. While there is reason to see Mt. Kilimanjaro in the north of this beautiful country, the Uluguru Mountains are a pristine and beautiful look into true Tanzanian beauty.

I would recommend going with a native tour guide, as people can get quite territorial. But, other than that, I would say all you need is a willing spirit and a thirst for adventure. Look at some of the beautiful sights to see there!

While there are many things to see on the hike of these mountains, we opted for a waterfall. It did not disappoint!
