Hiking In Aspen, Colorado
Spend the weekend in the mountains with a group of like-minded women- hanging around bon fire pits, hiking through the golden aspen trees, and visiting one of North America's most photographed scenes - the Maroon Bells.
Itinerary September 21-23rd, 2018
Arrival at our home is between 6-7pm . If flying we recommend Denver International Airport and renting a car.
Once you’ve checked in you’ll find your room, meet your roomies and enjoy the evening mingling and getting to know your weekend adventure pals.
We’ll do intros around 7pm while we have dinner and talk about our plans for the next day! The rest of the night is yours to enjoy as we lay low in our cozy home, getting a good nights rest for tomorrow’s adventure!
Breakfast will between 6-6:30am and be a continental style. We plan on leaving the house by 7am.
Today we are up early to head to the world famous Maroon Bells! The drive from our home to Aspen is about an hour and from there we will take the shuttle to the park.
The earlier we arrive, the less crowded it will be - which means amazing and unobstructed views of the most photographed peak in North America! This is the most incredible time of year as the aspen trees will be in their peak of autumn gold, so be prepared to be awe-struck.
We will spend the afternoon in the park enjoying all it has to offer. There are many hikes to choose from-all ranging in length and difficulty-as well as some great places to relax and enjoy your old school PBJ lunches.
The late afternoon/evening is yours to enjoy however you want - there is plenty to see in Aspen/Snowmass or you can head back to Glenwood Springs and relax at home or visit one of the area's hot springs.
Dinner will be served around 7 again and we will spend the evening diving deep and getting to know one another around the fire pit.
Breakfast will be served again in the morning and check out is at 11am.
We highly recommend spending the morning hiking to Hanging Lake, however the morning is free to do, whatever adventure you choose. Explore the town of Glenwood Springs, stop by America's highest in altitude town to visit Turquoise Lake, or head back to Denver to explore the Mile High City.
