This adventure is rated 1 out of 5 with a hike that is a 4 out of 5 difficulty level. This means that adventurers should be comfortable hiking 10+ miles with elevation gain/loss of 3k+ feet. This trip requires that you carry only a day pack and accommodations are in lodges, mountain huts and/or hotels. Highest elevation on the trail does not exceed 9k feet. Training for this adventure should be taken seriously.
*The Acatenango volcano hike is the only reason why this adventure is rated at a 4 on the difficulty scale. The hike is considered challenging but manageable for those with moderate fitness level. The trail is steep with loose gravel in some sections and can by physical demanding. It takes approximately 4.5 to 6 hours to hike, and the elevation and potential for altitude sickness make it challenging.

Come with us on this exciting 10 day/9 night trip around Iceland's iconic Ring Road where you will get to experience the country's most impressive waterfalls, play on black sand beaches, walk across a huge glacier, explore quaint villages, and so much more!

ITINERARY

Arrival at Amman Airport – Meet & Assist / arrange free visa – 40-minute
Transfer to Amman Hotel for check-in and rest.
Evening walking tour in downtown Amman with chance to taste street food.
Back to Amman Hotel for overnight.

45-minute drive to Madaba the Mosaic City for guided tour then 15-minute drive to Mount Nebo.
Proceed to Petra (3 1/2hr drive) with one last stop on the Kings Highway at Shobak Crusaders Castle

Climbing Wadi Rum Mountains (duration between 8-10hrs)
Leave from the camp after dropping the luggage – take Bedouin Jeeps and two Professional Bedouin climbers. Head to the Climb location ( around 20 minutes’ drive from Memories Aicha Camp) - Climb by ropes with two Bedouin Climbers (need around 3hrs). Lunch Break in the desert
After the Lunch Break , Start by Bedouin Jeeps to visit Um Fruth Rock Bridge and Little Bridge sand dune
Back to Camp where we stay in the famous Martian Domes. You might have a had time sleeping since you’ll stay up stargazing

After breakfast and some fresh brewed coffee, we will head south to Snæfellsnes peninsula on our way back to Reykjavik.
If you are a fan of Game Of Thrones, then this day is for you! Today we will visit sites where this popular show was filmed including Kirkjufell mountain, Djúpalónssandur beach, finishing with a walk along the Arnarstapi sea cliffs to try and spot some seals at Ytri Tunga.
Our day ends in Reykjavik where we will settle into our hotel for the evening. The rest of the evening is yours to spend as you like, shop, eat or just relax. Tonight we will share a final group dinner together along with our guide.

This trip requires a minimum number of women to register in order for it to be confirmed. Once the trip reaches the minimum participant number, you will receive a trip confirmation email and a link to be added a private Facebook group just for trip guests. In this group further trip details will be provided along with pre-travel support. Please let us know if you do not have or use Facebook (see contact information below).

Travel (and medical) insurance is required for anyone traveling on a Women Who Explore adventure. Your insurance should include adequate protection for overseas medical treatment, evacuation/repatriation, your baggage and equipment and the specific activities involved on your adventure. Your insurance policy should also include specific Covid-19 cover, including cancellation and curtailment cover if you or a close relative are diagnosed with Covid-19.
