Itinerary February 8th-11th, 2018

Day One

Fly into Edmonton International Airport. Jenny or Lindsay will pick you up at the airport and transport you to our accommodation or you will take the hotel shuttle and meet us there. (depending on flight arrival times)

This afternoon/tonight we will be exploring the Ice Castles in Hawrelak Park, indulging in dinner and drinks at some top Edmonton restaurants and overnighting in the city. #cityseries.

Day Two

We will have an early morning departure to Jasper. Today will be spend checking into our gorgeous cabins, exploring the townsite, meeting the resident wildlife and getting to know one another. Breakfast and Lunch will be at your own expense.

Dinner will be at Jasper brewing company with beer tastings to accompany. Dinner and beer flight is included at this getaway.

Day Three

Breakfast will be a repeat of yesterday with plenty of coffee to go around. We will depart the cabins by 8:30 and make our way to Maligne Canyon.

Our guide will lead us safely along the frozen canyon floor through its maze of fascinating ice sculptures. We will explore the entrance to a cave system, ice caves, fossils and towering frozen waterfalls stretching over 30m up the canyon walls.

After our ice canyon walk is complete it is time to head back into town. This afternoon is up to you to decide what to do. Whether is be catching the slopes at Marmot Basin, snowshoeing or simply relaxing at the cabins, its your turn to choose your own adventure. We have plenty of suggestions, Lunch will be on your own again.

Dinner will be served back at the cabins and its time to dig deep and really get to know each other. Board games, long chats and laughs are included.

February is one of the BEST times to see the Northern Lights up here in Jasper so we will be heading out and crossing our fingers these magical lights appear! Fun Fact: We have seen the Northern Lights not once but twice on our weekend getaways!

Day Four

An early morning “grab and go” breakfast will be held at the cabins and then we will depart for the famous Abraham Lake. It’s a bit of a drive but once we arrive you will understand (bonus points because you don’t have to drive, you can just sit back and relax). If you don’t know what Abraham Lake looks like in the winter we suggest dropping everything and Instagramming that immediately. The ice bubbles that form under the ice are truly photo worthy and we will spend time enjoying them as well as getting that perfect Instagram shot of you!

After we have played on the ice, we will have a hot lunch served and then it’s time to head back to the city of Edmonton.

Expected return to the Edmonton Airport is 4pm.
