Review: Ahnu Women’s Twain Harte Boot

Well-designed, light, easy to put on and attractive… all things that come to mind when I think about the Ahnu Women’s Twain Harte Insulated Boot.

Designed to be an après-ski boot, the Twain Harte combines comfort, warmth and fashion to provide any women the ultimate experience in boots. Not meant to be a winter hiking boot per say, I was absolutely delighted to discover how well they hold up in the snow and cold.

The Thinsulate insulation keep my feet toasty warm while still remaining thin enough not to feel like a bulky hiking boot. The waterproof leather and suede is the ultimate luxury as water has no way to get inside. I have taken this boot over hills, rocks, loose gravel, sand and even deep snow with great results due to the traction that is provided by the rubber outsole; and when I sneak across the house with them on, I leave no marks on the tile (a big plus in my world).

My absolute favorite part of this boot is the easy lace system. Essentially, I never have to re-lace. This is a huge selling point for me as I find a lot of boots wear through laces as they soak in the puddles of water that your boots sit in after a long day of hiking in the snow.

The fact that I never have to worry about wet laces and never worry about fumbling with them once they’re on–and the sheer convenience of being able to slip these boots on with ease–really pushed these to the top of my “must have list”.

These boots also look great in my everyday life and are an easy choice when I want to throw a pair of boots on with some jeans. The faux fur trimming at the top gives them enough style to be worn out in public. Cute, warm, dry and unbelievable light make the Ahnu Twain Harte boot a must-have for your everyday hiking needs and holds up extremely well for snowshoers in moderate snow levels. Find them here.
