Wanting to check something off your bucket list? How about white water rafting? We have teamed up with Hunter Valley Adventures to offer you an exhilarating weekend of rafting, hiking and more. Experience Class II to Class IV rapids, a beautiful hike to a waterfall and a kick ass property to stay on.
Itinerary June 8-10th, 2018
Arrive at Hunter Valley Adventures, located near Sundre, Alberta between 6-7pm. If flying in, we recommend flying into Calgary International Airport and renting a car as the property is not located on a public transit route.
Once arrived, you will settle into your cabin, meet your roommates and pin on your custom made name tag. The evening is yours to enjoy, mingling with the other women and enjoying the park.
Introductions will be made around 7:30pm and we will chat about what our adventure looks like. Light snacks will be provided but we suggest you eat dinner beforehand. A fire will cap off the evening and we get a good nights rest for tomorrow’s white water rafting adventure.
Breakfast is continental style where a variety of oatmeal, bagels and toast are offered.
After breakfast you will pack your own bagged lunch and we will head out for the day. The activity today is a full day of white water rafting! We will first raft the lower portion of the Red Deer River. Lunch will split up our day as we hop on the bus and head up towards the upper portion of the river. Rafting all the way back to camp we will hit everything from Class II to Class IV rapids.
After rafting it’s time to relax! Strum a guitar, sit by the fire or simply wander around the beautiful property. Dinner (BBQ) will be served in the main cookhouse and the evening will include games, fires and more.
Breakfast will be a repeat of yesterday with plenty of coffee to go around (or tea if you prefer).
A guided hike will take place to a beautiful waterfall this morning, or if you like you can pack up and head out. We do ask that the cabins are emptied by 10am.
After the hike, say goodbye to the beautiful surroundings and the new friends you’ve made.
