This adventure has a little bit of it all! From chasing waterfalls to guided nature hikes to sunset cruises and more this week long adventure is the perfect combination of fun and relaxation that will have you saying PURA VIDA!

Day 1:

Welcome to the Jungle

Welcome to Costa Rica! Fly into San Jose International Airport (SJO) and arrive by 1:00 p.m. Your trip host, along with your other travel mates, will be waiting for you. Costa Rica Shuttle, the nation’s leading Transportation Company, will take us to our amazing house tucked away in the heart of the jungle in Manuel Antonio.

Get ready to relax... our home is soothing, peaceful and luxurious. It is located just minutes from beaches, Costa Rica's most popular national park, plenty of shops and restaurants, and the town of Quepos. Spend your mornings soaking in the sounds of the jungle that surround this beautiful home, with 5 en suites with private bathrooms, air conditioning, jungle views and a private pool you'll be living the life of Pura Vida!

The journey to our home is approximately a 2 hours and 45 minute drive and the views along the drive will take your breath away. Once we arrive we will get settled in to our home and have some time to relax and unwind by the pool.

Tonight we are in for a special treat! A private chef will be joining us at our home to prepare a delicious meal for us to enjoy as we get to know each other and share our excitement for the adventurous week ahead!

Wake to the sounds of the jungle and enjoy breakfast before heading out on a full day of jungle adventures!

Our guide will pick us up at our house to whisk us a way for an epic day of chasing waterfalls, exploring swimming holes, cliff jumping and more. The drive itself is something out of a movie! En route to the waterfall, we will drive along the coastline with epic views of the Pacific Ocean, and sections of jungle that will have you thinking you’re in Jurassic Park.

Upon arrival, we will take a short hike down to where the river begins. As we enter the canyon and round the final bend, we will come face to face with a panoramic view of the majestic 150 ft Eco Chontales waterfall. On the next couple hours, we be guided to the many different features Eco Chontales has to offer including multiple calm swimming holes, picture perfect photo spots, a mini waterslide and even places to jump from!

Once we have explored this stunning waterfall and all its features, we will top off this incredible experience with an Avatar jungle experience. We will create a mini on-the-spot spa and apply mineral rich naturally-colored blue clay on our bodies. This “rainforest clay” is sourced near fresh spring water and is renowned for its healthy skincare properties. After all the fun and excitement, we will walk about 30 yards over to the river-side restaurant and enjoy a fresh and delicious typical Costa Rican meal while we listen the sound of the waterfall and soak up all the Pura Vida vibes!

Our guide will bring us back to our home base in Manuel Antiono once the tour is over. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish. Relax by the pool and enjoy the jungle views, head to one of the nearby beaches to catch the sunset or head out for an afternoon of shopping.

Enjoy dinner at your leisure this evening. There are tons of great options within walking distance from our home or you can head into Quepos on the local bus, taxi or Uber to enjoy dinner downtown or at the marina.

Day 3:

Coffee & CHOCOLATE tour & Jungle night tour

Wake up with the sun and enjoy breakfast on the patio while watching the morning monkey show. Did you know there are three different types of monkeys that live in the jungle around Manuel Antonio? If you're lucky, you can see them all in one morning!

After breakfast, we will be picked up and whisked away for a delicious morning activity - a chocolate & coffee tour! We will head to a private jungle preserve located 10 minutes outside of Manuel Antonio. Here we will learn the cultural and biological background of cacao in the world and in Costa Rica, and be introduced to the process of collecting, fermenting, grinding and finally the making of chocolate, the drink of the gods. Next up we will dive into coffee and its importance for Costa Rica’s economic and cultural development. Our guide will share how they make Café-Chorreado, the real Costarican practice of preparing coffee. Finally, we will look at one of the most important aspects of Costarican culture and tradition, the trapiche (mechanic sugarcane-mill), where they grind sugar cane to extract the juice and make delicious cocktails.

After learning about some Costa Rica's history and traditions, we will head back to Manuel Antonio where you will have the rest of the afternoon to spend as you wish.

We will all meet back at our home around 4:00 p.m. to get ready for a fun evening adventure. Tonight we will be heading to the stunning Rainmaker Park for a walk on the dark side of the jungle. Costa Rica is known for its diversity in wildlife, and during this tour you may see bats, Jesus Christ lizards, spiders, owls, varieties of frogs, snakes, many interesting insects and tons more. Our guide will provide you with a flashlight for the night hike. Keep your eyes open - maybe you'll be the one to spot the tiny tree frogs or a sleeping sloth. After a walk on the wild side, we will sit down to enjoy a typical dinner and natural drinks before returning to our home for the evening.

Relax and unwind with a tropical drink back home as you listen to the sounds of the jungle at night before retreating to your warm, cozy bed.
