Come with us to explore the stunning fall foliage of Northern Vermont! 

Known as one of the best places to experience the true beauty of fall, this weekend has a little bit of everything to offer. Enjoy the history, explore the outdoor activities, experience the fall foliage, indulge in delicious treats, and make new friends along the way!

Day 1:

Welcome to vermont!

Welcome to the stunning New England town of Stowe, Vermont! Stowe is full of scenic views, small town charm, and gorgeous fall foliage. It offers some of the best leaf peeping in the country this time of year!

Today we will meet at our cozy accommodations nestled among tall trees in the perfect location near Stowe. Check in anytime after 4:30 p.m. When you arrive take time to settle in. We’ll get to know our fellow trip mates and enjoy some hors d'oeuvres for a relaxing evening. Take a rejuvenating soak in the hot tub before heading to bed.

Day 2:

Von Trapp & ice cream! fall colors from the air!

Start the morning off right with coffee on the deck as you enjoy the crisp fall air before a full day adventuring among the beautiful fall colors! 

We start the morning off with a fun and exhilarating adventure! We will drive to Smugglers Notch where our adventure will take us to new heights. Soaring through the forests, we will zip line through the stunning fall colors of Vermont on a guided tour.

The rest of the afternoon is yours. Grab lunch at a local establishment, take a walk on the nearby Stowe Recreation Path, visit the Moss Glen waterfall or enjoy a scenic drive like the Green Mountain Byway or Auto Toll Road.

This evening we will enjoy dinner at home, play boardgames, head out on an evening hike up to Sunset Rock for a view of overlooking town or enjoy a hot tub soak under the stars.

Day 3:

ben & Jerry’s + downtown stowe

Wake up and enjoy a slow morning with a fresh brewed coffee as breakfast is prepared for you. This morning is yours to enjoy as you wish; check out a local trail, relax in the forest with a book, explore a local waterfall or check out the historic Gold Creek Covered Bridge. Our host will have suggestions for you in the area.

The group will meet back at our accommodations for a late lunch before heading out to explore some of the area's more popular locations. Our mid afternoon stop at Ben & Jerry’s Factory includes a tour and tasting, then we are off to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill where we will experience a working mill and sip on fresh cider. 

After our tours, you will have time to continue exploring downtown Stowe on your own. Head over and check out the Von Trapp Lodge, wander through local shops, visit a museum and enjoy dinner out a local restaurant or brewery.

Tonight we will meet back together as a group at 7:45 p.m. Tonight we are in for a special treat as we learn all about the area’s legendary ghost stories and history of Stowe on a guided lantern tour.

Day 4:

vermont!

Enjoy a warm cup of coffee and a tasty breakfast. This morning head into town to enjoy an optional 5 mile bike ride along the Stowe Recreation Path.

Choose to enjoy a packed lunch or pick up lunch in town before we make our way to Stowe Mountain Resort located at the base of the tallest peak in Vermont, Mt. Mansfield. We will take a scenic gondola ride to the top of the mountain to bask in beautiful 360 degree views. At the top there is an option to hike to the peak of Mt. Mansfield via the Cliff Trail or treat yourself to a cocktail at the Cliff Restaurant, it’s your adventure so you choose!

Tonight we will be treated to a delectable dinner at home prepared for you by your trip host as you relax with a beverage of choice and relive the incredible memories you made this weekend with your new friends.

Day 5:

goodbye vermont!

Enjoy a warm cup of coffee along with a little dose of fresh air while breakfast is prepared for you. Enjoy a final meal with your new friends and share photos before it is time to pack up and head home. Check out time is 9:30 a.m. but that doesn’t mean your adventure has to end!

    • Personal expenses not included in the itinerary such as additional accommodations, transportation, souvenirs, etc.

  • Meals include 4 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 3 dinners, snacks, coffee, and tea. If you have any food allergies or sensitivities, please share them at the time of booking or reach out to your trip host separately. We always do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions but cannot make any guarantees.

  • This trip requires a minimum number of ladies to register in order for it to be confirmed. Once the trip reaches the minimum participant number, you will receive a trip confirmation email and a link to be added a private WhatsApp group just for trip guests. In this group further trip details will be provided along with pre-travel support.

  • Women Who Explore guests will be required to follow the local Covid-19 guidelines and requirements as set forth by the local governing body of the destination being visited.

  • Travel (and medical) insurance is required for anyone traveling on a Women Who Explore adventure. Your insurance should include adequate protection for overseas medical treatment, evacuation/repatriation, your baggage and equipment and the specific activities involved on your adventure. Your insurance policy should also include specific Covid-19 cover, including cancellation and curtailment cover if you or a close relative are diagnosed with Covid-19.
