THIS IS A CO-ED TRIP. Women booking this trip are able to travel on this trip with their partners, friends, son, father, etc. This trip is also open to solo female travelers whom will be paired with another solo female traveler upon request in a double occupancy room.

THIS TRIP IS CENTERED AROUND A SOLAR ECLIPSE AND WEATHER IS BEYOND OUR CONTROL. While August, on average, has one of the clearest skies of the year in Egypt, there is no way to control or predict the weather that may happen for this event.

IT WILL BE HOT. It is August in the Sahara Desert so it is going to be a hot one. With that in mind, many of the activities are early in the morning or at night to ensure they are not done in the hottest times of the day. While this is the aim, it is not always possible so please ensure you are prepared to handle temperatures up to 105 degree F or higher when registering for this adventure.

ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE AND NON TRANSFERABLE. Due to the special nature of this event, a 6+ minute total solar eclipse, and the already high demand for accommodations in Egypt, this adventure is non-refundable and non-transferable at the time of booking.

A deposit is due at booking to hold your spot with regular monthly payments. Additional payments may be applied to the trip balance prior to payment due dates. Please note due to the nature of this trip, ALL deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

• 10 days/9 nights accommodations. 4 nights in a 4 star bed and breakfast in Cairo and 5 nights on a traditional dahabiya sailboat cruising along the Nile river

• Domestic flights from Cairo–Luxor and Aswan–Cairo

• Private airport transfers to and from Cairo International Airport (CAI) at designated arrival and departure dates and time as noted in the itinerary

• Private airport transfers to hotel in Luxor and from hotel in Aswan

• In-country A/C transportation by a local driver to and from all guided activities

• Private guided tours with an English speaking female Egyptologist who will be with the group for the duration of the trip

• Solar Eclipse Experience - witness a once in a lifetime 6+ minute solar eclipse from the sundeck of a traditional dahabiya on the Nile River. Solar glasses provided.

• Traditional Egyptian sailboat used as a type of house boat designed for Nile River cruises. This sailboat has 11 cabins with a max of 22 passengers

• Sundeck with jacuzzi, deck chairs, sun beds and shade coverings

• Fully air-conditioned cabins featuring ensuite facilities, portholes or windows, wardrobe and ample storage space

• Salon restaurant and fully stocked bar available for purchase

• Large screen LCD TV in each cabin

• Outdoor lounge with tables and comfortable sofas and A/C indoor dining lounge

• Wi-Fi on board

This trip requires a minimum number of guests to register in order for it to be confirmed. Once the trip reaches the minimum participant number, you will receive a trip confirmation email and a link to be added a private Facebook group just for trip guests. All deposits are non-refundable at the time of booking, but may be transferable if done so within the timeframe outlined in the Terms of Service. Once a trip has been confirmed, regardless of the timeline, the deposit is non-transferable.

Travel (and medical) insurance is required for anyone traveling on a Women Who Explore adventure. Your insurance should include adequate protection for overseas medical treatment, evacuation/repatriation, your baggage and equipment and the specific activities involved on your adventure. Your insurance policy should also include specific Covid-19 cover, including cancellation and curtailment cover if you or a close relative are diagnosed with Covid-19.
