Women’s Only Faroe Islands Trip

July sometime, 2027

Explore these remote islands with us!

This adventure is rated 2 out of 5. This means that there are activities on this trip that are more strenuous than a walking city tour. This trip consists of a decent amount of driving to explore the islands on small windy roads. There are often shorter hiking options, but you should be prepared for at least a few miles of hiking. We will hike on Kalsoy Island has a short hike, which requires walking up a grassy, sometimes muddy and uneven path (not really a designated trail), to get a good view of the Kallur Lighthouse. The lake above the ocean hike is also between 4-6 miles and there are more strenuous detours along the way if you choose to take them.

Join us on the most quaint adventure imaginable. A land with less than 60,000 people, grass rooftops, puffins and of course the best knit sweaters ever! For this trip, you will stay in the capital city of Torshavn and venture out daily to another island to explore. Each destination is between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours and you get to take in the stunning views the entire way since there are no highways in the Faroe Islands.

While there is plenty of scheduled adventuring, we’ve left lots of room to slow down and just take it all in. This trip is for women who love to explore lesser known parts of the world and spend an afternoon in a local bakery/cafe waiting out the blustery weather. You might be joining this trip not knowing anyone, but after eight days roadtripping around the islands, you’ll be leaving with new best friends.

Trip Highlights:

  • Enjoy a custom built itinerary that takes in as much of this epic landscape as possible in 8 days!

  • Centrally located apartment in downtown Torshavn so it’s easy to explore the town and within walking distance of restaurants and shops.

  • Small group of women with just 7 guests and your trip host.

  • Flexibility with the itinerary! The Faroe Islands weather doesn’t always cooperate (there are more days with rain than without) and we’ve built the itinerary in a way that we can make adjustments when/if needed!

  • This trip is timed for peak puffin viewing! The highest concentration of puffins are on the islands during June and July. The full season is May-August.

  • Less tourists, more sheep! Fun fact about the Faroe Islands, sheep outnumber people nearly 2:1 and there are only about 56,000 inhabitants between all the islands!
