Exploring ancient wonders!

This adventure is rated 2 out of 5 for difficulty level. Most activities do are not strenuous, but some like the climbing or camel ride do require higher level of adventure comfort. Both activities are beginner friendly and no previous experience is needed. These activities are built into the trip, but can also be opted out of if they are out of your comfort zone. All other activities are easy.


Join us on an unforgettable 8-day women’s-only adventure through the heart of Jordan, where ancient wonders and desert magic await. This immersive journey takes you from the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea to the red-sand expanses of Wadi Rum, where you’ll sleep in futuristic Martian domes under a sky full of stars. Ride camels across dramatic dunes, hop in 4x4s for a wild jeep ride through the canyons, and climb the red rock formations that have inspired countless explorers. Throughout the trip, you'll be surrounded by a group of adventurous, like-minded women, sharing moments of connection, empowerment, and awe.

No visit to Jordan is complete without experiencing Petra, the legendary rose-colored city carved into stone. You'll walk through the narrow Siq and arrive at the breathtaking Treasury, then explore ancient tombs, climb hidden stairways, and uncover ruins that whisper stories from thousands of years ago. Along the way, you'll enjoy local meals, meet inspiring people, and have the time to soak it all in. This trip blends adventure, culture, and rest in perfect balance—designed to leave you feeling grounded, inspired, and deeply connected.

ITINERARY

    • Arrival at Amman Airport (AMM) where a Meet & Assist representative will be waiting to help you through immigration to obtain your free visa and claim your luggage.

    • 40 minute transfer to Amman Hotel for check-in and time to rest.

    • Evening walking tour in downtown Amman with chance to taste street food.

    • Back to Amman Hotel for overnight.

    • Meals included: Dinner (street food tour)

    • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out.

    • Relax on a 45-minute drive to Madaba the Mosaic City for guided tour. Next take a short 15-minute drive to Mount Nebo.

    • Next up - Petra! There is one last stop on the Kings Highway on this 3.5 hour drive at Shobak Crusaders Castle before reaching our destination.

    • Check-in at Petra hotel and the rest of the evening is at your leisure.

    • Meals included: Breakfast

    • Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel.

    • Today our tour begins at 7:30am for full day of exploring Petra’s site. Main sites visited on the tour include: Main entrance, Six, Treasury, Theatre, Colonnaded Street, Royal Tombs, and end at the main trail at Qasr al-Bint. The trail length is 4km.

    • Group buffet style lunch at the Basin restaurant.

    • Optional self guided hike up over 800 stairs to visit the Monastery.

    • Head back to the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

    • Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.

    • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out.

    • Drive 1.5 hours to reach Wadi Rum and check into camp.

    • Climbing Wadi Rum Mountains Day (all levels) - duration is 8 - 10 hours.

    • Leave from the camp after dropping the luggage - take Bedouin Jeeps and two Professional Bedouin climbers. Head to the climb location around 20 minutes’ drive from Memories Aicha Camp. Climb by ropes with two Bedouin climbers. This will take around 3 hours.

    • Lunch break in the desert.

    • After lunch take Bedouin Jeeps to visit Um Fruth Rock Bridge and Little Bridge sand dune.

    • Next we head back to Wadi Rum Camp to stay in the famous Martian Domes. You might have a hard time sleeping since you’ll be up stargazing all night.

    • Meals included: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

      This climbing day is for all experience levels and while you are welcome to bring your own personal gear, it is not required. Gear will be provided to all guests.

    • Enjoy breakfast at Wadi Rum Camp

    • Start the morning with a Camel ride lasting up to 1 hour.

    • Late morning to late afternoon relax with some free time in the desert.

    • Trekking with a Bedouin guide for up to 2 hours in late afternoon.

    • Dinner at camp.

    • After dinner, enjoy a guided star gazing experience at Rum Sky.

    • Meals included: Breakfast and dinner.

    • Enjoy breakfast at Wadi Rum Camp before checking out.

    • Depart Wadi Rum and enjoy the 4.5 hour scenic drive to Dead Sea via Wadi Araba Road.

    • Arrive at the Dead Sea, the Earth’s lowest point on land, 427 meters (1,401 ft) below Sea Level. The Dead Sea at 306 m or 1,004 ft deep is also the deepest hypersaline lake in the world.  Biblically, it was a place of refuge for King David. It was one of the world's first health resorts (for Herod the Great), and it has been the supplier of a wide variety of products, from balms for Egyptian mummification to potash for fertilizers. People also use the salt and the minerals from the Dead Sea to create cosmetics and herbal sachets.

    • Check in to your hotel and enjoy a free afternoon at leisure to relax by the pool, read a book or take a dip in the Dead Sea.

    • Meals: Breakfast

    • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out.

    • Relax with a morning float in the Dead Sea.

    • Drive towards Ammam and stop at Jersey for a guided tour of the Greco-Roman city of Gerasa.

    • Continue the drive to Amman City where you will visit the Citadel and its archeological museum. Total drive time is approximately 3 hours today.

    • Check in to your hotel and freshen up.

    • Meet the crew for a celebratory farewell dinner.

    • Meals included: Breakfast and dinner

    • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out.

    • A 40-minute drive will bring you to the Amman Airport for departure with assistance.

  • $4,095 USD double occupancy in 4-5 star hotels.

    If you are traveling solo, you will be assigned roommates upon request.

    A deposit is due at booking to hold your spot with regular monthly payments. Additional payments may be applied to the trip balance prior to payment due dates.

  • • 8 days / 7 nights accommodations with 5 nights in 4 star and 5 star hotels and 2 nights in the famous Martian Domes in Wadi Rum.

    • Meet and assist services upon arrival and for departure at Amman Airport (AMM) with English-speaking staff.

    • Free visa on arrival. Full passport details must be provided at least two weeks prior to arrival date.

    • Transportation in a private A/C Private 30-Seater Medium Bus with a private English-speaking tour guide on board throughout the trip.

    • Entrance fees to all the sites mentioned in the itinerary including Petra, Amman City Citadel and Archeological Museum and Jerash.

    • Porters' assistance at Amman Airport and Hotels.

    • Horse riding in Petra from main entrance to the Siq.

    • 4 hour Burj Umm Fruth Jeep Tour followed by simple picnic lunch in the desert on blanket. Jeeps are open top pick-up driven by local Bedouin with 4 pax per Jeep.

    • 1 hour Camel Ride

    • 2 hour Bedouin Guided Trek

    • Star Gazing experience at Rum Sky

    • Meals as noted in the program. This includes 7 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 3 dinners and a street food tour.

    • Personal expenses not included in the itinerary such as additional accommodations, transportation, meals, souvenirs, etc.

  • All meals will be provided as noted in the itinerary. Please reach out to the trip host after booking if you have any food allergies/sensitivities. We always do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions but cannot make any guarantees.

  • This trip requires a minimum number of women to register in order for it to be confirmed. Once the trip reaches the minimum participant number, you will receive a trip confirmation email and a link to be added a private Facebook group just for trip guests. In this group further trip details will be provided along with pre-travel support. Please let us know if you do not have or use Facebook (see contact information below).

    All deposits are non-refundable at the time of booking, but may be transferable if done so within the timeframe outlined in the Terms of Service.

    Once a trip has been confirmed (no matter the booking or trip timeline), the deposit is both non-refundable and non-transferable. Please make sure you are purchasing adequate travel insurance at the time of booking to ensure you are covered in case you need to cancel.

  • Travel (and medical) insurance is required for anyone traveling on a Women Who Explore adventure. Your insurance should include adequate protection for overseas medical treatment, evacuation/repatriation, your baggage and equipment and the specific activities involved on your adventure. Your insurance policy should also include specific Covid-19 cover, including cancellation and curtailment cover if you or a close relative are diagnosed with Covid-19.
