** From our guide - The treks are quite easy, approximately 3 or 4 hours walking, and suitable for most abilities. There is one longer trek that take 5 to 6 hours walking with a light bag on easy terrain. The excursion on ice with crampons will be guided by a mountain guide, and is also suitable for anyone physically active and with an adventurous attitude. For the kayak optional excursion, previous experience in kayaking is not required.
Experience high alpine scenery with enchanting rolling hills, majestic peaks, remote alpine villages, and crystal-clear lakes. Join us on a 10-day journey in Slovenia where we explore Ljubljana, the small but lively capital of this small country, and then takes us through the mighty Julian Alps and Soča Valley to explore the country’s most breathtaking landscapes in a truly active way. We begin in Ljubljana, take two days to settle in and even explore its hillside, known for wildlife. Afterwards we head straight into the Julian Alps for five days of hiking along flower-speckled trails and across rugged, rocky peaks, where marmots and ibexes roam freely. Each night, we stay in a different mountain hut—four nights, four unique alpine shelters! We spend the last two days in the Soča Valley, one of the most stunning alpine valleys in Europe. This unforgettable tour is perfect for fit hikers seeking both natural beauty and an authentic alpine adventure.
Trip Highlights:
Pristine experience: This trek is more remote and less traveled than many other popular treks. This means you’ll get to experience the true beauty of this trail without the crowds.
Hut-to-hut: You will need to pack/carry all your personal items for this trek, but it’s lighter than a normal backpacking trip! No need for a sleeping pad, sleeping bag or cooking supplies. It makes those elevation gains/losses just a bit easier on the knees!
Lakes & waterfalls: Just look at the color of them! The color is truly spectacular and even better in person. The Soca Valley is famous for the emerald water.
The views: Obviously. Again, just look at the photos! The limestone cliffs that tower over the lush green valleys are a sight to behold and something we know you won’t tire of.
Small group & female guide: Doing the hard things with a women’s only group is just a different vibe. We’re here to support and encourage one another. Once you experience it, it might just be the only type of trekking you’ll want to do!

Greenland is the wildest country in the northern hemisphere, infrastructures are almost non-existent and logistics pose enormous challenges.
That is the reason why your local guide MAY NOT follow this daily itinerary exactly as planned. All activities are subject to change in order to adapt the journey to the weather conditions, sea conditions, or technical and organizational difficulties, and it therefore requires flexibility in the traveller.
Some activities can be cancelled because of weather or ice conditions as locals say “The weather is Boss in Greenland”.
As a result, by signing up for this trip, the guest is aware that unexpected expenses as a result of weather conditions (including difficulties or cancellations due to ice or weather conditions) or flight or boat delays are not included in the price and may become the responsibility of the guest while traveling on the trip.
